With a minimalist approach to sand, the design features numerous ponds, abundant marshland and Chicago's answer to Amen Corner; a 3-hole foray (11, 12, 13) into hilly, forested terrain outside the quarry's original boundary.

The signature hole, #8, plays at 154 yards from the elevated back tee to a double-tiered green surrounded by water. The large greens are especially slippery and offer tremendous variety in pin placements.

Very pleasing to the eye, Prairie Isle is certain to become a popular venue as more golfers become acquainted with its charm.
